Union Theological Institute Full-tuition Scholarship Award helps students make the difference in their lives and in the lives of others in their ecclesial communities. As we know, ministry education is dear, but when a student makes his first step towards pursuing ministry education, he can turn his dream into reality with one of UTI's Scholarships.
ARCHBISHOP MOSES O. KATTEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - AMOKAMS
AMOKAMS is a Full-tuition Scholarship grant for students of Ministry. It is named after Archbishop (Dr.) Moses Olaka Kattey, JP, and domiciled in the Theological Department of Union Theological Institute, UTI. Archbishop Moses Olaka Kattey, was former General Overseer of Commonwealth Covenant Church International Inc. This memorial scholarship was created to immortalize his memory for the invaluable role he played as Vice-Chairman of UTI Advisory Board before his demise. The Board believes the only way to re-
lieve the legacies of the Archbishop, especially, his contributions to the growth of young ministers, is to erect this Memorial Scholarship in his honour.
Announcement
This Memorial Scholarship was erected and announced on the 30th Day of September, 2020 in the Year of Our Lord.
SCHOLARSHIP PURPOSE
The purpose of the Scholarship Grant is to educate young prospective ministers to be missionaries in their own culture and to preach the Christian religion with boldness.
Operation
The Scholarship shall grant a maximum of Five (5) Scholarships in each academic year to merited students of UTI.
PARTNERSHIP
The Scholarship Board shall collaborate with Churches, spirited individuals and corporate organizations to provide monetary and relational support for students studying in Union Theological Institute and or with it’s affiliate Institution under this Scholarship.
SCHOLARSHIP DURATION
This Scholarship when earned shall be for a period of One (1) academic year, non-renewable per student at the Advance Certificate or Diploma in Christian Theology and Ministry level.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
The Scholarship shall be provided for upper-level diploma and theological education that will lead to a Bachelor be of Divinities Degree that prepares the student to carry on effectively with ministry.
The student must have a strong inward call or desire, the necessary gifts and abilities to be successful in that calling, and an external affirmation of their call to be selected as a scholar. Students in subsequent tiers, may be considered if additional funding is available.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The application process is open through the year with award decisions made at commencement of each enrollment season. Students who are prospective ministers are considered first in this Scholarship. They must submit former school grades and registration information to ensure compliance with the scholarship requirements. Note that ONLY Tuitions are covered by this Scholarship.
